The prime focus of ACIS2 is the prevention and detection of crime, enabled through the legal and ethical gathering and sharing of information and intelligence. Incidents reported on ACIS2 can be used to build intelligence packages that may be shared for the purposes of deterring known suspects and offenders from partner premises thus aiding the reduction of repeat offending locally, regionally and nationally (when shared via other schemes or through other agencies e.g. The National Business Crime Solution (NBCS)).

Evidential Packaging:

Incidents reported via ACIS2 can be delivered to local police forces as a full evidential package, including images and CCTV footage that can be uploaded via the website or app. The reports facilitate the delivery of pro-forma statements that, together with the visual evidence, reduce the need for police attendance and significantly reduce the time taken for victims to report crime and for police officers and police staff to record crimes, whilst increasing the opportunities for investigation and detection. Further these evidential packages tend to increase early resolution at court once criminal proceedings have been instigated.
